Red Boots

RED BOOTS came from two ideas colliding. One was an old song idea that had been sitting dormant, waiting for the right angle. The other showed up unexpectedly on the drive home — a simple sign at a roadside fruit stand. Something about that sign connected with the old idea, and suddenly the song had somewhere to go. What came out was RED BOOTS: a funny country song about redneck life, marriage, faith, personality, and a woman who fits right into that world without apologizing for any of it. At the center is a God-loving redneck wife with character to spare. The humor comes from recognition rather than ridicule — the things people wear, say, drive, believe, laugh about, and live with every day. Sometimes a song sits around waiting for years. Sometimes a roadside sign finishes it.
